Catherina Institute
The Catherine institute was established in Tarshiha in 1994. Its objectives have revolved around meeting the cultural needs of the country in the field of music and arts education and development. The conservatory aims to support and nurture emerging talents within an educational and knowledge-based framework, granting gifted individuals the ability to develop their artistic skills.
The conservatory offers both internal and external educational programs for all Arabic, Eastern, and Western musical instruments, following a specialized curriculum developed by Dr. Haddad in collaboration with expert faculty members. High school students are prepared for a Recital Specialization at the level of a five-unit Bagrut exam in instrumental performance.
The conservatory's educational branches include instruction in string instruments, wind instruments, percussion, piano, voice training, and Arabic singing. The academic program also covers courses in Eastern and Western music theory and history, as well as preparation for the five-unit Bagrut music exam, equipping students for admission to higher education institutions in music.
Thus, the municipal conservatory "Catherine" has formed its own ensemble, which now performs artistic shows both locally and internationally. The orchestra, as part of its musical activities, engages in artistic productions and strives for global recognition.
